Ironically in 1996 the FDA proposed to ban over the counter use colloidal silver and silver salt products, failing to achieve the ban, and in 1999 making a final ruling that Colloidal Silver and Silver Salts could be sold as dietary supplements but require that no health claims can be made to them. In 1999 the FDA launched Operation Cure All that seeks out violators from making false or unproven claims and requiring strict regulation of testimonial type claims. Colloidal Silver testimonials have been been a major object of attention by the FDA including those that state that Colloidal Silver provides a safe solution for Bio Terrorism. "Because of the latest FDA ruling, one can discuss colloidal silver’s ability to kill Staphlococcus, Streptococcus, Candida, and 650 other microbes, but, one cannot make any claims that it will cure any of the diseases these organisms cause, such as strep throat, pneumonia, ringworm, etc. Regardless of what diseases colloidal silver cured, or what research was done prior to 1938, claims about colloidal silver’s efficacy against diseases cannot be made today without going through the long, expensive FDA drug approval process [Exotic Research]." Another source claims: "According to the FDA rules, colloidal silver cannot be used for treating the HIV Virus, but it could be used as an antibiotic for all the acquired diseases of active AIDS [user.gru.net]." However, personal testimonials can be found throughout the Internet regarding the use of Colloidal Silver if you get there before the FDA or FTC, and many people claim that it actually does cure their illnesses. If you get to a site after the FDA or FTC, you will find statements such as this: "We apologize, but we have been informed by the FTC that we can no longer give out any information on what colloidal silver does, is good for, testimonials, or possible problems it may cause. We suggest that you use the tools at your disposal, such as search engines, to determine what you need to know about colloidal silver [silver-lightning.com]."

Personal Colloidal Silver testimonials often claim that one cures themselves of pathogens, bacteria, fungi and viruses that are part of the 650 pathogens that Colloidal Silver purportedly kills. Some related highly relevant testimonials to HIV are those from people with Hepatitis C (HCV), claiming complete viral reductions testing negative to the HCV antibody; that is one tests positive for HCV with a viral load then begins an aggressive colloidal silver program and later tests negative for HCV. HIV and HCV are of course very similar in that their replication processes are strikingly similar and some believe that HIV is yet another form of HCV. There definitely are cases of one seroconverting to HIV negative status associated with usage of colloidal silver. For your examination, here I provide five unsubstantiated claims I found regarding the Hepatitis C virus. Whether or not they are true is another thing, but I believe they are, and are likely to be representative of what one may experience using colloidal silver for either HCV or HIV with an adequate dosage.

Colloidal Silver and Hepatitis C Cure Testimonials

Five Colloidal Silver Testimonials Associated with Hepatitis C: Interferon is claimed to be 15% effective against Hepatitis C and extremely toxic. Find below five testimonials claiming to rid the body of the Hepatitus C virus.

"I don't know if I was cured in the first three days or if I was cured in the first three months, because my first liver enzyme test was six months after I began the C.S. I was absolutely sure that I was cured. My energy was over the top & I could stay awake 16 hours a day & I began living life happy & free. Sure enough my complete liver panel came back negative for any traces of hep C. This blood panel has been negative now for 3 years, it's as if I never had hep c, but I did and I suffered long enough with it."
"I purchased ... 20 PPM solution and started taking it on June 25, 2001. I had spoken to my doctor about it but he advised me against it but did not provide a reason. On the fourth day of taking colloidal silver, I noticed that the night sweats had stopped and that I did not have to take a nap when I got home from work. On July 11, 2001, I went to the doctor to have more blood drawn and to discuss treatment options. I explained to the doctor that I had been feeling really good since I started taking the colloidal silver and that I really did not feel sick anymore. The Colloidal Silver Yahoo! group has over 9,000 posts on Colloidal Silver. One group member Juan of Texas makes this statement:

"I'm amazed at the arrogance of doctors. When approached with the idea of colloidal silver as a possible cure for anything, they are immediately repelled by the idea. Almost as if they know the power of colloidal silver and are afraid of the story getting out. It is as if they are saying, "You in your infinite ignorance can not possibly have discovered a cure for anything!" Then there are those who just politely change the subject as if I have said a bad word. Has anyone else notice this rejection of medical knowledge by the medical community or have I just been talking to the wrong people?" Other group members make responses in support of Juan's findings.

Silver and the HIV Virus

Finding specific Colloidal Silver personal testimonials relating to HIV has been difficult for me after all it has been three years since the FDA launched Operation Cure All, but whatever the case I can strongly support if not prove the hypothesis that the Silver mineral actually does kill the HIV virus through my Internet research.

Clinical Practice of Alternative Medicine, Spring 2001: "Reduction of Viral Load in AIDS Patients with Intravenous Mild Silver Protein–Three Case Reports" Ward Dean, M.D., Mark Mitchell, M.D., Victor Whizar Lugo, M.D. and James South, M.A.
In 1997 Louisiana-based businessman Bill McFarland conducted a mild silver protein (MSP) study on three HIV+ men with the AIDS condition where all three patients took MSP orally and were given intravenous injections of the MSP; all three maintained magnificent viral load reductions in a very short period of time. The graph on the right illustrates the subject AP's HIV levels over time where each dot represents a viral load measurement on a specific date. Initially AP tested for the maximum level of HIV in the bloodstream at 750,000 RNA copies/ml, but his count is anticipated higher indicated by the dotted line since this was the maximum viral load level capability of the test. On the graph notice that AP had five IV administrations of the MSP listing the date of the IV infusion and the corresponding PPM (parts per million). Notice that when the subject AP received and IV of 1,500 PPM, AP's viral load amazingly dropped within 30 day period and AP's viral load drops within a 60 day period AP tested undetectable. It should be noted that AP suffered a severe Herxheimer's Effect (die off) described in a paragraph below.

a) Colloidal silver, copper, zinc and manganese 250ml 1ppm quad colloid for 30 days in succession. Formula: Electrolytic Colloidal Ag, Cu, Zn, Mn, via 2 drops 100% saline in 250ml distilled water, 99.99% silver electrodes immersed for 3 minutes, 60%-Cu, 30%-Zn, 10%-Mn alloy electrodes immersed for 2 minutes. Finish by synergising with 15 drops of 35% (120volume) food-grade hydrogen peroxide. This is referred to as the “mother colloid” and is best freshly produced every morning for the 1st 30 days.

b) Usage: Add 25ml of mother colloid to an empty glass and top-up with water (not necessarily distilled). Add 1-3 drops additional hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) to the glass once topped-up. Drink 2 glasses on an empty stomach on rising in the morning, 2 between breakfast and lunch, 2 between lunch and supper and 2 before retiring at night.
